BENEFITS OF YOGA
Yoga physically enhances a child's flexibility, strength, coordination, and body awareness. At Nanda Yoga, we introduce kids to yoga's true meaning: union, expression, and honor for oneself and the community that surrounds them.
To provide a consistent children’s yoga practice that opens the doors to positive transformation by creating a calm and peaceful mind, an open and compassionate heart, and a strong feeling of self-acceptance. We want to help you create kind, authentic and resilient kids one yoga class at a time.
OUR MISSION IS
MEET NANDA OWNER KATE
Nanda Yoga is owned by Fort Worth native and Trinity Valley alumni, Kate Murphy. She has an Early Childhood Education degree from University of Texas, Austin and was a Child Life Specialist at Cook Children’s Medical Center from 2010-2022. She began working in Hematology/Oncology and later moved to the Emergency Department. While working frontline during the pandemic, Kate witnessed firsthand the negative impact that the pandemic had on the mental health and well-being of our children. Having this experience further intensified her desire to bring yoga to the youth of Fort Worth. She became certified in children’s yoga in 2007 when she was a senior in college and she has been teaching ever since!
